Biography

Carlos Fernando Tanzi, whose stage name is Cef Tanzy is an Angolan artist born on 30th June 1986. He was born in Tsotso, Damba in the province of Uíge , Angola , where he lived for approximately 4 months before moving to Luanda with his family.

He is the son of Bazombo parents, Kumbisa Fernando Tanzi and Elisa Kumona Tana, their ethnic sub-group located in northern Angola. Cef Tanzy grew up in Luanda, in the suburban area of ​​Mabor, which connects the municipalities of Cazenga and Cacuaco .

He began singing under the influence of his older brothers Tony Laf and A'mosi Just a Label known to some as Jack Nkanga. While growing up, his true passion was always football , which he practiced until a certain period, until music gained greater expression in his life. Carlito, as he was treated by family and friends, eventually became a successful musical artist.

His process of discovering an artistic identity began with the attempt to make Rap/Hip Hop, and that later the Soul R&B genre began to develop itself. Given the environment in which he was situated, he says he had little chance of seeing himself succeed in the world of music.

In 2003 he had his first experience as a singer participating in the imitation contest, stars on stage, a project that had the production and realization of Lac. supported by his older brother A'mosi Just a Label . This contest where he came to be among the 10 finalists. After that experience, he never stopped.

In 2008 Cef Tanzy meets Vovó from the group Alegefixos, and Cef Tanzy at the time was a musician who could only be heard live and acoustic. Grandma offers to help him record his songs in her studio located in Bairro do Marçal.

His older brother A'mosi Just a Label , always served him as a guide, and as a master key in almost everything, however, as in 2009, his brother lived in downtown Luanda, Cef Tanzy wanted to live with him, he found that it was too risky for the two to live together and focused only on music, which was not yet a source of income at the time. Cef Tanzy , commanded by instinct, then decided to go spend some time with a friend in Zamba II, with whom he stayed for 3 weeks. It was all a strategy of creating opportunities, socializing with people in showbiz. 

After that time, Cef Tanzy moved to the neighborhood of Rocha Pinto. A'mosi Just a Label , features Cef Tanzyto Vui Vui, as a proposal he could work with. At that time, the member of the Kalibrados group, in addition to being a musician, was also a successful businessman in the music scene in Angola . 

Vui vui, then starts working with him under the production of Detergente, a young and talented producer, with whom Cef Tanzy worked for a long time until the cycle closed.

In 2010, Cef Tanzy met businessman Mi Mosquito, who believed and invested in the artist, leading him to record with Wonderboyz. Then came the singles Pintor de Rua, Amor é practical, Campeã. These themes were part of the Milionário Family project, and also of the album Button de Rosa. 

This album was released in 2013 and has LS Produções as its distributor. Even before the album was recorded, as a matter of ideological differentiation, Cef Tanzy and Mi Mosquito terminated the contract they both had together.

Cef Tanzy , persisted with his dreams until he realized and made his album a reality and then gained unquestionable notoriety in the Lusophone market
